Two Area Cyclists Hit by Drivers in Late June

On June 20th, a 16-year-old was hit by Michael L. Lake, 23, of Granger. Lake was cited for disregarding a signal. WSBT has the story here.

On June 28th, Jeff Bateman of Osceola was hit by the side mirror of a black Chevy pickup. The driver fled the scene, and remains at large. WSBT coverage is here.

Oddly, both of these incidents happened at or near Ash Road. Be careful out there!
