LOCAL GROUPS

​

  • Michiana Bicycle Association. The MBA is a recreational cycling organization that sponsors a range of rides throughout the week and throughout the year (schedule). It is also  sponsors Amishland and Lakes bike ride, which is held annually in late July.

  • Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association. NIMBA sponsors mountain bike events and workshops and is instrumental in building and maintaining local mountain bike trails.

  • Friends of Granger Paths. This group is making Granger roads safer for pedestrians and bicyclists by working to build the trail system in northeast St. Joseph County. It sponsors  the annual 5K Run/Walk and 1 mile Family Fun Run.

  • Friends of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. This group has planned and promoted the building of the Pumpkinvine rails to trails that travels from Goshen through Middlebury to Shipshewanna. Support the trail at the annual Pumpkinvine Bike Ride.

  • Crossway Trails. A growing regional trail network working to connect families, commuters, and visitors across Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan to improve health, safety, quality of life, and mobility for all. Crossway Trails is an umbrella name for regional trails devised under the auspices of Michiana Area Council of Governments.

  • Bike Elkhart County. Bike Elkhart is an advocacy organization that promotes cycling in Elkhart County.
