Databike Records Trail Conditions

Dustin New, the bike coordinator for Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG), has been using a newly acquired databike to make a record of trail conditions in our region (MACOG covers St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall and Kosciusko counties). The pole on the back carries a video camera, similar to those used by Google street view. The bike also records the vibrations and bumps (like those nasty tree roots) along the way. It will provide feedback to local government for making improvements.
