The Midwest Continental Divide Study Area centers on the western portion of St Joseph County, including portions of the City of South Bend, North Liberty, Lakeville, Crumstown, and Lydick, with close proximity to New Carlisle, LaPorte County, and the Michigan border. The vision will include and connect to key natural and cultural destinations, including Potato Creek State Park, the Chain of Lakes, the Kankakee River and Dixon Ditch, Four Winds Casino, Indiana Dinosaur Museum, Lydick Bog, and much more!
The Midwest Continental Divide will be shaped by your participation. We want your input. Please fill out the survey and attend an upcoming public event. Before you do the survey it may be useful to review information about the project here.
The future of the Midwest Continental Divide will be shaped by you and the people of western St. Joseph County. Through fall of 2025, there will be opportunities to learn about the vision and provide critical input.
